John Francis Jindra, Sr.
In 1900 John lived with his brother Wenzel in Mishicott Township according to the 1900 census.
In December 7, 1918 Joseph Ginzel sold property in Sheboygan to John Jindra for $1.
The couple was married for 61 years at the time of John’s death. The couple purchased Kingsbridge tavern, dance hall and hotel from John’s brother Wencil and operated it for 14 years. There were barns and horses behind the tavern. Later they moved to the Shoto farm at Rt. 2, Two Rivers, remaining for 16 years and retired in 1959 and moved to Manitowoc. John was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 40 years.
Marie Ginzl Jindra came to this country as a young girl with her parents, setting in the Town of Gibson.
Children of John Jindra and Marie Ginzl:
- Arnold R. Jindra, b. 01 Oct 1901, Manitowoc County Wisconsin; d. 07 Apr 1978.
- Lester J. Jindra, b. 1903; d. 1924. Lester Jindra was in the first-ever unit of the First Army Air Corps and in 1924, died when he was struck by an airplane propeller.
- John J. Jindra, Jr., b. 14 Nov 1918, Kingsbridge, Manitowoc County; d. 21 Feb 1964, Kingsbridge, Manitowoc County.
