Walter Carl Jindra

Walter Carl Jindra, son of Georg Jindra and Maria Lenhardt, was born on 24 Nov 1895 in Wisconsin and died on 27 Mar 1940 in Two Rivers Township, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin at age 44.

Walter was a short man of medium build. He had blue eyes and light hair. In 1917 he was working as a tire builder for Racine Rubber Co., Racine.

In 1920, he was listed twice on the census. Living with his parents and also boarding with his sister, Anna Stoer. His occupation is carpenter in a factory.

Walter married Vera J. Last, daughter of August Last and Minnie Kracht, in 1922. Vera was born on 13 Feb 1899 in Wisconsin and died on 22 May 1976 in Neenah, Winnebago, Wisconsin at age 77. They had two children.

Walter served as commander of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post.

In 1930, he was employed as a plumber in a plumbing shop. In 1935 a water filtration plant ws completed in the town of Two Rivers. Norman applied and was hired as an employee. On the evening of March 27, 1940, the family was faced with his untimely death during an accident at the plant. At that time he was employed as the assisant operator.

They are buried in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers, Manitowoc County, WI.
