  	Manitowoc Herald News Wednesay, March 23, 1927 DIES IN HOUSE THAT WAS HER HOME 77 YEARS Mrs. Sophie Duebner, widow of Christian Duebner who has lived seventy-seven years in the same home and had passed her ninety-second birthday, died at the home ot her son Christian Duebner, Manitowoc Rural Route 2, early this morning, her demise being due to infirmities incident to old age. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from the home with services at o'clock at the Newton Reformed church, the Rev. Vriesen officiating. Mrs. Duebner, born Sophie Kasten, first saw the light of day in Germany January 20,1835 and came to this country at the age of fifteen with her parents who settled in Manitowoc county. Seventy years ago she was married to Christian Duebner and the couple continued to make their home on the old farm. The husband preceded her in death a number of years ago and she is survived by five children, Mrs. Lena Koeser of this county, Miss Anna Vogt of Sheboygan, Sister Minnie Blerhause of Nraska, Carl and Christian. Twentyone grandchildren and fortyone great grandchildren also survive her. ------------------ Sheboygan Press Thrusday, Mar 24, 1927 Aged Pioneer Of Manitowoc Passes Away Wednesday Mrs. Sophie Duebner, 92, a pioneer resident of Manitowoc, and mother of Mrs. Anna Voght, of this city, passed away at the home of her son, Christ Duebner, Route 5, Manitowoc county, at an early hour Wednesday morning. Her death occurred on the farm on which she had lived for seventy-seven years. Mrs. Duebner has seventy-four direct descendants, including four children, twenty-one grandchildren and forty-nine great grandchildren. The deceased was born in Germany on January 20, 1835 and at the age of fifteen came with her parents to America and directly to Manitowoc county. She was married seventy years ago to Christ Duebner, who preceded her in death. Besides the daughter in this city, and the son with whom Mrs. Duebner resided, the survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Lena Kaser, of Manitowoc, and another son, Carl, of Manitowoc. Funeral services will be conducted at the late home at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon and at 2 o'clock in the Newton Reformed church. Rev. Mr. Vriesen will officiate.
