Deceased Name: Chester F. Novak
Chester F. Novak, age 82, formerly of Francis Creek, currently a resident of the Park View Haven Apartments, Manitowoc, died at his residence on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 20, 2005.
He was born Nov. 3, 1922 in the town of Mishicot to the late James and Rose Robinson Novak. He married the former Grace Mott at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot on Aug. 30, 1941. He was a master of many trades, some of which included, working at Sears in the service station, L.C. Cherney Construction Co., a semi driver for Matt Kocian, he owned a farm and a tavern and retired from Burger Boat of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife: Grace of Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Richard and "Bea" Novak of Manitowoc; two daughters: Sharon Klein and her special friend, Brad: Mary Novak and her special friend, Larry, all of Manitowoc; a special daughter-in-law: Bette Anderson and her special friend, Ted; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Chester is further survived by one brother: John Novak of Manitowoc, two sisters: Julia Flentje of Two Rivers; and Esther (Edward) Graycarek of Mishicot. He was preceded in death by two sons: David and Wayne; and by a grandson: Neil; four sisters: Catherine Wilda, Elizabeth Belonger, Lillian Hoffman, Emma Krystofich; five brothers: James, Anton, Edward, Joseph and Alvin Novak; and by eight sisters-in-law; and 10 brothers-in-law.
Private family graveside services were held on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 23, 2005 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Mishicot.
The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot assisted the Novak family with funeral arrangements.
