  	Anna was the daughter of Christian Pluckhahn and Sophia Koepke. She married Anton Sporleder on Feb 22, 1905 at Carroll, IA. They were the parents of Carl, Ervin, and Lawrence. March 3, 1980 - Carroll Daily Times - Glidden - Mrs. Anton (Anna) Sporleder, 94, of Glidden, were held at 1:30 March 3 St. Lutheran church in Carroll. She died at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb 28 at Oaks Nursing Home at Lake City after a long illness. She had lived at the nursing home for about a month. The Rev. Robert Floy officiated at the rites. Burial was in Westlawn cemetery at Glidden. Pallbearers were Michael Humlicek, Thomas Langel, Rich Whitaker, George Phiester, Jim, Roger, Steve, and Philip Sporleder. Mrs. Dianna Michaelis was organist and Elmer Peters vocalist at the services. A prayer service was held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home, Carroll. Surviving are three sons: Carl, Lake City; Ervin and Lawrence, Carroll; 15 grandchilden and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband in 1955, two infant children, a sister, two brothers, and two grandchidren. Mrs. Sporleder, a lifelong resident of the area, was born Aug. 1, 1886, in Carroll County, a daughter of Christian and Sophia Kopke Pluckhahn. She attended Carroll schools. She was married to Anton Sporleder Feb. 22, 1905, at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Carroll by the Rev. G.P. Lubker. She was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church in Carroll and the Ladies Aid Society.

Anton Henry Sporleder, 74, died as a result of a heart attack at the home of his son, Ervin Sporleder in Glidden early Tuesday morning. The attack occurred during a birthday party for his granddaughter, Linda, in the Sporleder home. The body is resting at the Huffman Funeral Home in Glidden. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Sporleder was born at Joliet, Illinois on July 28, 1881. He came to Carroll County as a young man and lived on a farm until he moved to Glidden eight years ago. He was a son of the late Fred and Francis Werner Sporleder. On February 22, 1905, he was married to Anna Pluckhahn at Carroll. Surviving are his wife; three sons — Carl of Lake City, Ervin of Glidden, and Lawrence of Carroll; one sister, Mrs. John Kurth; one brother Arnold, and 12 grandchildren.
