- Mrs. Helen Pepin Is Taken by Death
Death called the roll once more among the pioneers of Havre when on Thursday monring, May 22, at 9 o'clock, Mrs. Helen Pepin passed away, a victim of paralysis which had claimed her for the past 13 years. Death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Osborne., with whom she has lived for some time.
Funeral services will be held from the St. Jude Thaddeus church on Saturday, May 24, at 8:30 o'clock.
Mrs. Pepin is survived by her daughter, Mrs. David Osborne, a granddaughter, Ruth Donnellan, who is employed in a clinic at Great Falls. She was the widow of X. Pepin, who died about 12 years ago, and who with his brother, Adoph, and erdia Peopin were among the earliest settlers of Havre.

Mrs. Helen Pepin is Laid to Rest
Funeral services for Mrs. helen Pepin, who was the widow of one of the pioneers of Havre, were held from the St. Jude Thaddeus church at 8:30 Saturday monring, May 31. The high requium mass for the dead was used. Rev. Father Sansone preaching the funeral sermon. There were a great many floral trubutes for the woman who had been an invalid for many years, during which time she had been tenderly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. David Osborne.
Pall bearers included Bob Lucke, P.C. Barrett, Jim Delaney, Frank Blanke, Frank Cowan, and John Lamey. The church choir furnished the music for the service. Interment was in Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. Helen Pepin was born in Germany April 26, 1959, the daughter of D. Oltjen. Some ??? years ago she became the wife of X. Pepin, with whom she pioneered in Havre many years ago. Her husband died 12 years ago, about a year after Mrs. Pepin had suffered the stroke of paralysis which made her an invalid for the last 13 years. She lived, during this time with her daughter, Mrs. David Osbourne, by whom she is survived. No other children were born to them. Her only other surviving relative in this country is her granddaughter, Ruth Donnellan, of Greta Falls. An only brother died in Germany during the war.
