  Manitowoc Herald Times (Manitowoc, Wisconsin) > 1962 > January > 2 Ploeckelmann Edgar E. Ploeckelmann, 40, former Mishicot resident, who later lived at Gladbrook, Iowa, died Saturday at Hines Veteran Hospital, Hines, Ill. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Gladbrook, Iowa, the Rev. Robert Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Marshaltown, Iowa. He was born April 26, 1921, at Mishicot, son of Hugo and Ida Wenholz Ploeckelmann. He served with the engineer's corps of the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He married Ilse Wiebensohn Feb. 8, 1948, at Mishicot. The family moved to Iowa in 1949 where he was engaged in farming at Gladbrook. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mary, Susan, and Sandra at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Ploeckelmann of Mishicot; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Kappelman of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Mrs. Robert Lahey of Easton, Ohio, and Mrs. Clarence Emond of Mishicot.
