  	Mrs. Ernst Waack, 71, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, died early Tuesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at St John Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, the Rev. Fred Knueppel officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Born March 16, 1882, at Manitowoc Rapids, the former Minnie Carstens was married in 1904 and the couple farmed in the Town of Newton. The husband died in 1926 and Mrs. Waack remained on the farm until four years ago when she took up residence with a son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Waack. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Waack of Rt 4, Manitowoc; two sons, John and Alfred of the Town of Newton; a sister, Mrs. Leo Szabados of Brillion; three brothers, Henry Carstens of Brillion, Louis Carstens of Manitowoc Rapids and Harvey Carstens of Manitowoc; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Urhanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after noon Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
