Mrs. Andrew Haak Die At Home Near Sanborn (Springfield Advance, 8 Nov 1934) Following a brief illness, Mrs. Andrew Haak, a resident near Sanborn passed away at her home last Wed. evening shortly after 6 o'clock. The cause of her death was a coronary thrombosis, a condition of the heart. Lizzie Haak was born 31 Jul 1896 in Watonwan County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lentz. On 29 Apr 1915 she was united in marriage to Andrew Haak at the Zion Lutheran Church at Sanborn. She is survived by her husband and 4 children; namely Maxine, 16; Bernice, 13; Evelyn, 6; and Luverne, 17 months. One son Erwin preceded her in death 5 years ago. She also leaves her parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lentz, 2 sisters Mrs. Lena Saxton, Nashaum and Mrs. Margaret Theldon, 4 brothers, Fred Lentz Jr. of Holland, Theodore, Herman, and Erwin, all of Sanborn. Funeral services were conducted at Sanborn Zion Lutheran church Sunday at 2 o'clock following a brief service at the home at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Schierenbeck officiated. Inerment was made in Sanborn Cemetery.
