- ROMAN GRALL
Roman W. Grall, age 84, of 222 Grant St., Whitelaw, died Sunday evening, December 22, 1996 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 27, 1996 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 10:30 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Rev. Richard Heymen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Grall was born December 17, 1912 at Whitelaw, son of the late Wolfgang and Margaret Wellner Grall. He attended St. Michaels Grade School, Whitelaw. Roman drove the Standard Oil bulk fuel oil truck until his retirement in 1975. He also operated an electronics repair shop in Whitelaw. He married the former Dorothy Brunig on May 16, 1934 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death February 1, 1964. On November 9, 1968, he married the former Clara Reis at St. Michael Catholic Church. In the past he enjoyed bowling and in the summers he had a PA system that he provided old time music at fireman’s picnics.
Survivors include his wife, Clara, Whitelaw; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Roy Jindra, Mishicot, Patricia and Ken Balusik, Menomonee Falls, Wis.; six grandchildren, Bill and Julie Jindra, Manitowoc, Scott and Monie Jindra, Omro, Wis., Michael Jindra, Madison and his fiancée, Ines Wenger, Peter and Joan Jindra, Green Bay, Ann and Tom Winter, Manitowoc, Courtney Balusik, Menomonee Falls; eight great grandchildren: two step-sons and their wives, Ron and Emily Reis, Reedsville, Jerome and Judy Reis, Reedsville; four step-daughters and their husbands, Janice and William Rahn, Reedsville, Janet and Arnie Miller, Reedsville, Claire and Leo Dietrich, Whitelaw, Helen and Len Fox, Menasha; 29 step grandchildren; 36 step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; one brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Cora Grall, Whitelaw; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Peggy Swift, Evanston, Ill., Helen and Paul Verbrugghe, Wheaton, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Dorothy Brunig; two brothers, Wilbert and Richard; one step-son, Richard Reis; and one step-daughter, Patricia Blonde.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold and Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville, on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Father Heymen will pray the rosary at 6:30 p.m.
