  	Lawrence (Roger) Alfson, 53, of 3519 West Marshall St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening, March 20, 1989 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc, as a result of an automobile accident. Private memorial mass will be Monday, March 27, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate. Cremation will have taken place with entombment of cremains at Calvary Mausoleum. Mr. Alfson was born September 26, 1935 at Valders, Wisconsin, son of Leonard and Marie Kohlbeck Alfson. He grew up and attended grade school at Clarks Mills, Wisconsin and graduated from Valders High School in 1954. Mr. Alfson was employed at Busch Agricultural Resources from 1954 to the present time. He married Barbara E. Gallenberger, May 1, 1958 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Alfson was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Liberty Hunting Club and Two Rivers Unit of Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protective Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Thomas and Kim Alfson of Manitowoc, Randall and L.K. Alfson of Madison, Gary and Barbara Alfson of Manitowoc and Richard Alfson at home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail and Joe Boldt of Odgen, Utah and Amy Alfson of Madison; his parents, Leonard and Marie Alfson of Cato, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Lane, Ryan, Dana, Christopher, Sara, Shannon and Sherry; a sister and brother-in-law, Jan and jay Elliott of Lincolnshire, Illinois; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Keith Vogel of Manitowoc, Ann and Perry Niewolny of Manitowoc, Sue and James Hess of Two Rivers; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Al and Lorraine Gallenberger of Manitowoc; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Reinbold, Pfeffer, Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
