Maas, Robert C.
Robert C. Maas, 44, Black Creek, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, as a resu lt of a tree cutting accident. He was born Aug. 23, 1960, in Milwauk ee to Richard and Marsha Maas. In 1979, he graduated from Delano High Scho ol in Minnesota. After high school Bob attended and graduated from St. Clo ud Area Vocational and Technical School. Bob joined the U.S. Army and serv ed from 1981 to 1983 and continued in the Reserves until 1987. In 19 86 he graduated from UW-Stout. He moved to Green Bay in 1986 and began h is career in Machine Design. Bob had worked at Kimberly Clark, Hart Desi gn and Mfg. and had recently started his own business, Machine Design Tech nology. On April 17, 1993, he married Lisa Kolb. Bob was an outdoorsma n, an avid fisherman and hunter, and just loved being in the woods. In 199 4, Bob and Lisa built Bob’s dream house in the woods.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa; two daughters, Mariah and MacKenzie; h is parents, Richard and Marsha Maas, Delano, Minn.; a brother and sister-i n-law, Gary and Kathleen Maas, Lakeland, Minn.; two sisters and brothers-i n-law, Laura (Dan) Forster, Delano, Minn.; Karen (David) Kolb, Minnetrist a, Minn.; his grandfather, Richard Maas, La Crosse, Wis.; his father-in-l aw and mother-in-law, Bill and Lee Kolb, De Pere; his brothers-in-law a nd sisters-in-law, Debbie Kolb, Pam (John) Jenk, Mark (Carolyn) Kolb, Stua rt (Pam) Kolb, Mary Kolb, Bill (Amy) Kolb; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dr. Cecil and Ru th Supita; his paternal grandmother, Sarah Maas; and an aunt, Sally Supita .
Friends may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwo od Drive, from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be he ld at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. John VanDeuren officiat ing.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
The Maas family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of St. Vinc ent Hospital Neurological ICU especially, Karen, Barb, Carol and Renee.
