  	MATHIAS CHRISTIANSEN (d. 1920) Popular Resident of Two Rivers; Mathias Christiansen Dies Mathias Christiansen, one of the pioneers residents of the city and for many years engaged in the bakery business, died this morning at his north side home, age 72 years. Mr. Christiansen had been in poor health for some time and recently underwent an operation at the hospital and was removed to his home Saturday when his condition showed marked improvement and it was believed that his recover would be complete. However, he suffered a relapse, due to his weakened condition, and died this morning. Mr. Christiansen was a native of Schleswig-Holstein and came to America as a youth of eighteen years, his parents locating at Two Rivers. Later he took up his residence at Cleveland, Ohio, where he engaged in the bakery business and a short time later returned here to establish a business which he operated up to a few years ago when he disposed of the plant and later the building to Dick Bros. Mr. Christiansen was twice married and is survived by one daughter of the first marriage, Mrs. Frank Hoffman of this city and a son Ascar(sic) of Milwaukee of the second marrige. His wife and three brothers, Fred of this city, George of Milwaukee and Ferdinand of Sheboygan also survive.
