  	Mrs. Mary Freis, widow of Ernst Freis, died Thursday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Waldemar Freis, town of Centerville after a lingering illness. Mrs. Freis, who was 69 years of age, was born in the town of Newton on March 24, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Luckow. She was married to Mr. Freis on June 21, 1898, and he preceded her in death five years ago. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Herzog and Mrs. William Ruh, both of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ray Stueber, Sheboygan; four sons, Hilbert and Waldemar, Cleveland; Roland, Kiel; and Clarence, Howards Grove. Two brothers, Hugo Luckow of Newton and Louis of Manitowoc, 17 granchildren and 1 great grandchild also survive. At 1:30 p.m. Monday services will be held at the Stoltenbug funeral chapel, Cleveland, followed by rites at the SS. John and Peter Lutheran church in charge of the Rev. M.A. Braun. Burial will be in the Saxon cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon,until the time of the funeral. The casket will not be open in church.
