Hoffmann, Geraldine A.
Geraldine A. Hoffmann, 84, Algoma, passed away peacefully with her fami ly by her side Friday, January 7, 2005. She was born November 26, 192 0, in Algoma , to Erwin and Clara (Schlei) Detjen. On September, 24, 194 3, she married Reuben Hoffmann at St. Paul’s Church in Algoma. Geraldine e njoyed spending time with her family and her husband of 61 years. She al so took great pride in being a helper for the Wisconsin Synods “Builders f or Christ,’’ St. Pauls Choir, Homemakers Chorus and a Den Mother for Cub S couts.
She is survived by her husband, Reuben; her children David (Nancy) Hoffman n, Brad (Gayle) Hoffman, Melanie (Ken) Johnson. Grandchildren Bruce Hoffma nn, Penny (Chris) Rocque, Heather (Jesse) Peterson, Eric (Vivian) Hoffman n, Sarah Smith, Matthew Smith, Brandon Hoffmann, Keaton Hoffmann, Katie Ho ffmann, Jenny Barrett, Ellie Hoffmann, and Maggie Hoffmann. Great-grandchi ldren Taylor Hoffmann, Joe Rocque, Jacob Hoffmann and Riley Hoffmann. S he is also survived by one brother Curt Detjen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Daniel Hoffmann, one bro ther and sister-in-law Ralph (Donna) Detjen and two sisters-in-law Emmy De tjen and Joan Detjen.
Friends may call at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home, 1617 Flora Ave., Alg oma, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and again Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the c hurch. Prayer service 6:15 p.m. Monday with Pastor Roy Beyer. Funeral 11 a .m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Algoma with Pastor Christopher J ohnson officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma.
