  	HILDA MEINEKE Mrs. Erwin H. Meineke, 67, of 2105 Byron St. Chicago, Ill., a native of Two Rivers, died Thursday night at Ravenswood Hospital in that city, where she had been a patient for several weeks. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, the rev. T.F. Stern officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mrs. Meineke, nee Hilda Mertens, was born in Two Rivers, May 29, 1893, a daughter of the late Fred and Carolina Wilke Mertens. She attended the Two Rivers public schools and for a number of years was a compositor at the old Two Rivers Weekly Reporter. Later, she was an employee of the office of the former Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co., in Two Rivers. On Nov. 30, 1920 she was married to Erwin Meineke in Two Rivers. After residing in Two Rivers a short time and couple moved to Chicago where she resided since. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Chicago, and of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Besides here husband she leaves a step brother John Goedjen of Two Rivers and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral chapels in Two Rivers after 6 p.m. Friday.   	Two well known and highly respected young people of St. John's Lutheran Congregation were married at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning when Rev. W.G. Haase, in the presence of a few friends and relatives, performed the ceremony uniting Edwin H. Meineke, son of Mrs. Chas. Meineke of the Town of Two Rivers and Miss Hilda Mertens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mertens, 1604 21st Street. The ceremony took place in the church, the couple attended by Herbert Meineke, a brother of the groom and Miss Edna Mertens, a sister of the bride. Immediately after the ceremony the couple left on a honeymoon sojourn to Milwaukee and Madison.They will be at home after Dec. 10 in Millidgeville, Illinois where the groom is engaged in the business of a drainage contractor. The bride, of late employed in the office of the Aluminum Goods Plant No. 1, was a type compositor in the Reporter office for several years, a position in which she unfailingly showed reliability and efficiency, a lady of high qualities.
