- Hilbert Radloff with his second wife, Ellen Koerth
Hilbert Radloff, 51, of Route 2, Brillion, died last Thursday morning at his farm home, three miles north of Brillion.
A native of Manitowoc County, he was born Nov. 12, 1905, in the town of Maple Grove, a son of Louis and Clara Herwig Radloff.
He was married to Miss Anna Waack on May 3, 1931. She died Sept. 22, 1935. Three years later, on Sept. 10, 1938 he married Miss Ellen Koerth.
Mr. Radloff farmed his entire life on the present homestead farm.
Well-known in the Brillion area, he served 22 years as clerk of the town of Brillion, resigning three months ago because of ill health. He also was a director of the Farmers’ Co-op and a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Brillion.
Survivors are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Conrad (Elaine) Rasmussen, Appleton, Mrs. James (Grace) Broehm, Route 2, Brillion, and Miss Judith and Miss Marie, at home; two sons, Robert and Allan at home; his mother, Mrs. Clara Radloff, Brillion; and four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Re, Milwaukee, Mrs. Lawrence Heins, Appleton, Mrs. Leonard Brown, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Gilbert Krueger, Reedsville.
His father and one brother, Harvey preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion, with the Rev. V. J. Siegler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Brillion cemetery.
