    Died:
No death records or obituaries found as of 2/18/17; Mary (Urban) Chaloupka, wife of son Thomas Chaloupka, died on December 9, 1896 of consumption in the town of Mishicott. Since Thomas operated a farm in nearby Town of Gibson, it is possible that Mary (Urban) Chaloupka was being nursed at the John Chaloupka home and an assumption could be made that John Chaloupka died of the same disease.

    Cemetery abstract from website:

    John Chaloupka/born/Apr. 10, 1831/died/Nov. 28, 1896,
    (on the same stone with):
    Mary Chaloupka/born/Sept. 8, 1833/died/March 16, 1915 (nee Svoboda)

John and Marie are buried on the east side of the cemetery, near the fence at the bottom of the hill. The Mishicot Cemetery and the Holy Cross cemetery appear to be one in the same cemetery. There is a dividing line but I do not know where it is. I believe they are buried in the Catholic portion based on other deaths nearby.
