Welcome to our family history website!
For many years Michael Jindra and Ellen M. (Chaloupka) Rohr have been collaborating on the Jindra Family website. Our two families lines are interconnected in many different ways:
You can navigate the pages and find information on various families, places, and photos. This site allows other branches of the family to add their own material, and allows you to add material on your branch (including filling in info in between what we’ve already added). If you are interested in getting a login, just let us know.
Years ago, Mike had a Czech genealogy organization, Pathfinders, do a search on Jindra relatives in Bohemia, so the family has been traced back to the 1600s. Some of that info is reflected on the website. There will be more to come as time permits. The information on the George and Mary Lenhardt family tree was written by Mike based on interviews he has done since 1990.
Ellen, a former professional genealogist, has done additional research her direct and many of the collateral family lines. Much of which is included here.
It would be great if others added to our stories and pictures. One or two things you remember or whole histories would be a great addition. We welcome your input, but ask that you have permission of any living persons before you add their info online.

The Jindra Family came from Militece, Czech Republic and settled in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.
The Chaloupka Family came the region of Bila Hirka, Czech Republic and settled in Manitowoc County.

Church and School
