    George Lambert, 75, of 1708-27th St., Two Rivers, died Sunday evening, Jan. 29, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital.

    Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lambert Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Rev. Richard Allen will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    Mr. Lambert was born Aug. 1, 1908, in the Town of Mishicot, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Cretton Lambert. He married Alice Pawlovich on May 27, 1931, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mr. Lambert farmed in the Town of Mishicot until 1968 when he moved to Two Rivers and became a self-employed painter and was also employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, retiring in 1973.

    Survivors include his wife, Alice; a son and daughter-in-law, George R. and Dorothy Lambert of Oshkosh; two daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Franklin Benthien of R. 1, Mishicot and Carol and Paul Menges of Larrabee; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

    Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

    Alice E. Lambert, age 92, of 416 Park Lane Apt. 2, Mishicot, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2001 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, with the Rev. William O'Brien officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Parish cemetery in Mishicot.


    Alice was born Sept. 6, 1908 in Kewaunee County to the late Victor and Gertrude Doleysh Pawlovich and has been a lifelong area resident. She married George Lambert on May 27, 1931 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. He preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1984. Mrs. Lambert was a Blue Lady for the Red Cross and also sold Avon products for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic
    Church in Mishicot.


    Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Franklin Benthein of Mishicot, Carol and Paul Menges of Larrabee. One son and daughter-in-law: George and Dorothy Lambert, of Oshkosh. Fourteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Alice is further survived by one brother, Elnathan Pawlovich, and one sister, Nina Meek, both of South Dakota, along with many nieces and nephews.
    She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Todd Menges and by her granddaughter Vicki's husband, Jeffrey Vogt. Five brothers and one sister also preceded her in
    death.


    Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Lambert Funeral Home in Mishicot. There will be a 7 p.m. parish wake service Friday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, until the time of service at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church.


    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund has been established in her name.

    Joseph Lambert, 80, retired Town of Mishicot farmer, died at his home in the village of Mishicot Thursday afternoon. He had been in failing health for several months. Funeral services will be held from the Specht Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. and at 9:30 from the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Mr. Lambert, born on the Lambert homestead in Mishicot in 1864, drove logs on the Mishicot River from Tisch Mills to Two Rivers in the early days. He spent many years farming and for over 50 years was owner and operator of a threshing machine outfit. In 1892, he married Miss Lizziea Cretton and they moved to the farm three miles north of the village. In 1936, they retired and moved into the village. Two years ago, the couple observed their golden
    wedding anniversary at the home of a son, Edward. Survivors are the wife, two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Gerlach of star route, Denmark, Miss Rose Lambert of route 1, Two Rivers; five sons, Walter of King's Bridge, Jess and Edward of Mishicot, Arnold of route 1, Two Rivers, George of route 1, Mishicot; and 14 grandchildren. The body may be viewed at the funeral home in Mishicot where the rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 8 o'clock.

    LIZZIE LAMBERT


    Mrs. Elizabeth Lambert, 78, widow of the late Joseph Lambert, retired town of Gibson farmer, died Friday night at the Municipal hospital at Two Rivers following a major operation, Wednesday. She was brought to the hospital Tuesday from her home at Mishicot.

    Funeral arrangements have not been completed, pending word from a son, Jess, who is now en route to Mishicot following a visit with relatives in California.

    The body is at the Specht funeral home at Mishicot where it may be viewed from Sunday evening. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, where Mrs. Lambert was an active member. Born Elizabeth Cretton in the town of Gibson Nov. 22, 1869, the deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Justin Cretton. She was married to Joseph Lambert in 1892 and the couple farmed on the Lambert homestead, route 1, Mishicot, until eight years ago when they retired and moved to the village. Mr. Lambert died in 1943.

    Mrs. Lambert was active socially and in the affairs of the Holy Cross congregation where she was a member of the Altar society.

    Surviving are five sons, Arnold of route 1 Kewaunee, Walter of Kingsbidge, George on the home farm and Edward and Jess of Mishicot; two daughters, Miss Rose Lambert of Mishicot and Mrs. Julia Gerlach of Bolt, 14 grandchildren
    and one sister, Mrs. Fred Grimm of Los Angeles. Mrs. Lambert also leaves a granddaughter, (private), whom she reared from a child of three years.
