    Mrs. Albert Ready, age 82 years, a respected pioneer, passed away suddenly at the homesteady now owned by Ready Brothers in the town of Pella, near Leopolis, on January 13th at 10 0'clock p.m.
    She was born in Bohemia and came to this country when a young girl, coming to Manitowoc county, where she married Matt Ready. To them was born Matt, Jr., who is making his home in Texas. Shortly after their marriage, Mr. Ready met with an accident while logging. A log rolled over him and killed him.
    Mrs. Ready some time after married Albert Ready, a brother of Matt's. After a few years they decided to move to Leopolis, and they occupied a fine farm just half a mile south of Leopolis, where eighteen years ago Mr. Ready died.
    Like most of the early settlers, Mrs. Ready was domestically inclined, looking after the welfare of her family and her death, although attaining a ripe old age, was a shock to her family and friends.
    She is survived by nine sons and two daughters:
    Matt of Texas
    John and George near Lyndhurst on a farm
    Jake on a farm near Shawano
    Peter at Appleton
    Jim, Albert and Frank at home
    Anna and mary at home
    Her son Joe Ready, died about twelve years ago. The funeral was held from the St. Mary's Catholic church on Thursday at 9:00 o'clock, Rev. Father Grill officiating.
