    His family later moved to Iowa and then Wisconsin. William's education only extended to about the second or third grade. When he was older, he went to work in a chair factory in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Later, he moved to Rib Lake, Wisconsin where he met Hulda Louise Klausch.

    William and Hulda were farmers and cleared the land in Rib Lake.

    William Henry Jonas, 76 passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella Davis, early Monday morning. Death was attributed to a heart condition.

    The deceased was born August 7, 1874, in Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jonas. While he was still a baby the family moved to Two Rivers, Wis. On February 21, 1905 he married Hulda Klusch, and following his marriage moved to Medford. In 1920 he moved to Cambria and in 1940 to a farm near Fox Lake. His wife preceded him in death January 6, 1946 and since then he has made his home with his daughter. He was actively employed until the time of his death working for his son-in-law, Carl Davis, a building contractor.

    Survivors are six sons and four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Zeman, Manitowoc, Mrs. Ella Davis, Fox Lake, Earhardt, Rudolph, Mrs. Gertrude Mullin, Fox Lake, Mrs. Anna Manthey, Pardeeville, Walter, Portage, Melvin, Beaver Dam, Marvin Fox Lake, William, Waukesha, and Harvey, Beaver Dam. Also surviving are; three brothers, Fred, Two Riers(sic), Henry, Waukesha and Walter, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Tess of Sturgeon Bay and Mrs. Winton Raper of Chicago; and eleven grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in the city. Rev. G. W. Zunker officiated and interment was at Waushara cemetery.

    Wilhelm married KLAUSCH, Hulda Louise on 21 Feb 1905 in Medford, Taylor, Wisconsin, United States, and was divorced in Jun 1913. Hulda was born on 8 Apr 1881 in Schlesien, Germany; died on 5 Jan 1946 in Beaver Dam, Dodge, Wisconsin, United States; was buried on 8 Jan 1946 in Fox Lake, Dodge, Wisconsin, United States.     Rites Held Tuesday For Mrs. Wm. Jonas

    Mrs. William Jonas, 64, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Beaver Da m, on Saturday, January 5, of a heart condition after having been ill f or the past two years.
    Funeral services were held from St. John's LUtheran church at two o'clo ck Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made in the Waushara cemetery with Re v. G.W. Zunker officiating.
    The deceased was born April 8, 1881, in German and she came to this coun try with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Klausch, at the age of 1 1/2 yea rs. She lived at Saginaw, Mich., until ten years old and then moved to Me dford, Wis., where on February 21, 1905, she was married to William Jona s. They resided at Rib Lake, Wis., until 1920 and then moved to a farm ne ar Cambria where they lived until 1929 when they moved to Fox Lake.
    She is survived y her husband and ten children: Mrs Anton Zieman(sic ), Manitowoc; Mrs. Karl Davis, mrs. William Mullin, Fox Lake; Erhardt, Ran dolph; Mrs. Ray Manthey, Pardeeville; Walter, Portage; William Jr, Waukesh a; Melvin, Harvey and Marvin all of Fox Lake. She is also survived by eig hty grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Nohr, and a brother, Fred Kla usch, Milwaukee.
    The St. John's Lutheran ladies Aid of which she was a faithful member at tended the services in a body.
    "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life."

    Three applications were granted on charges of desertion. Hulda Jonas said William Jonas had left her shortly after their marriage.
