    Edith H. (Anklam) Jonas, age 88, of Two Rivers, died Friday morning, November 28, 1997, at the Hamilton Memorial Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 1997, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Edward Stelter will officiate with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. She was born July 3, 1909, at Pine Grove, Wis., daughter of the late Herman and Lena Barth Pahnke. She attended schools in Pine Grove. On August 22, 1931, she married George Anklam at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1961. On May 2, 1964, she married Alfred Jonas at St. John's Church, Two Rivers. Edith was employed for many years at Stangel's Super Valu Store. She was a member of St. John's Ladies Society, St. John's Quilters, Two Rivers Senior Citizens, and was an avid dartball player. She also enjoyed playing golf, hunting and cooking many meals for the hunting group. (Survivors omitted for privacy) She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Anklam; one son, Glen Anklam on December 31, 1995; four brothers, George, John, Carl, and Gordon Pahnke; six sisters, Hilda Schoen, Lisetta Lange, Elsie LaHaye, Amanda Balza, Dorothy Gille and Ann Schneider. Friends may call at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. Edith was loved by everyone whose lives she touched and will be greatly missed by all. Herald Times Reporter, November 29, 1997
