    Peltier

    Earl E. Peltier, 75, of 426 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

    Funeral services will be at 9:30 a,m, Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Manitowoc. The Rev. Cyril Van Heeswyck will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military Gravesite services will be conducted by the Amvets Post No. 99.

    Mr. Peltier was born Jan. 11, 1897, at Mishicot, son of the late Andrew and Mary Jindra Peltier had been employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, Inc. and also at Manitowoc Equipment Works prior to his retirement in 1961. He was a member of the Machinist Lakeshore Lodge No. 2064.

    Survivors include two sons, Eugene and Donald of Manitowoc, two sisters, Miss Irene Peltier and Mrs. Charles Hayden of Manitowoc, 11 grand children and four great grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 9 p.m. Monday where a Wake service will be held at 8 p.m.

    From notes of Lillian Tuma Radey (granddaughter of deceased) George died at age 59. He was killed in an accident, the horses ran away and he was thrown off the wagon and pinned between the wagon pole and fence.

    Obit:
    George Jindra of the town of Mishicott was killed on Friday last near Kings Bridge while on his way home from the city. The team evidently had run away as they were found near a fence with the wagon pole out of the neck yoke. Jindra has fallen forward and his head was literally pounded to a pulp by the blows of the wheel spokes.

    Mrs. Marie Jindra, Aged 92, Pioneer, Dies at Kings Bridge

    Mrs. Marie Jindra, aged 92 years, widow of the late George Jindra, who passed away 39 years ago and has been a resident of this county for 61 years, passed away at Kings Bridge where she has been making her home for a number of years. Her maiden name was Marie Kremarik(sic) and she was born in Bohemia May 30, 1837 and came to this country 61 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Jindra first locate in the town of Kossuth where Mr. Jindra conducted a farm. After his death, Mrs. Jindra continued to reside there and moved to Kings Bridge 13 years ago.

    Three daughters, Mrs. Lena Hartigan, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Anna Tuma, Gibson, and Mrs. Mary Peltier, this city and five sons, George of Mishicot, Joseph of Maplewood, Frank of Kings Bridge and Wenzl an John of this city survive. One sister, Mrs. Katherine Vieau of Green Bay also survive.

    Funeral services will be held Friday morning at the Holy Cross church at Mishicot.
