ELVIRA MEINEKE Mrs. Raymond Meineke, 69, of Rt. 1, Mishicot, died Friday evening at Family Heritage Nursing Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishicot. The Rev. Herbert Kesting will officiate and burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mrs. Meineke, nee Elvira Ahrens, was born July 11, 1904, in the Town of Two Rivers, daughter of the late John and Gustie Runge Ahrens. She was married to Raymond Meineke Sept. 19, 1928, at Green Bay. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Church and Ladies Bible Hour of the church, Lutheran High School Guild, Mishicot Senior Citizens and After Sunset Homemakers Club. She was also a member and past president of the auxiliary to Robert E. Burns American Legion Post No. 165, of Two Rivers. Survivors include her husband, a brother, Jerry, of Rt. 1, Two Rivers; and three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Myrtle) Kastrosky, of Two Rivers, Mrs. Milton (Cora) Mueller, of Manitowoc and Mrs. George (Mildred) Walters, of Spokane, Wash. Two brothers preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 3 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday and then at the church until the time of service.
