CHESTER FERDON
Chester Ferdon, 90, a resident of Family Heritage Home, 1205 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 5, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Ferdon was born May 10, 1892, at Little Suamico, Wis., son of the late Obediah and Katherine Jindra Ferdon. He married Ella E. Laabs Oct. 15, 1922, at Brookside, Wis. They moved to Manitowoc in 1923 and resided here since. He retired in 1967 from Mirro Corporation where he had been employed many years. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the United States Army with Battery D of Coast Guard Artillery from 1918 to 1919.
Survivors include his wife, Ella E. of Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Glenn and Charlotte Ferdon of Manitowoc and Lloyd L. Ferdon of Big Bend, Wis; two brothers, Frank of Manitowoc and Erwin of Marinette; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Klingholz of Manitowoc and Mrs. Alice Hedin of Sauk Centre, Minn.; two granddaughters, Mrs. James (Patricia) Keil of Manitowoc and Mrs. John (Judy) Niquette of Sturgeon Bay and two great granddaughters, Mrs. James (Patricia) Keil of Manitowoc and Mrs. John (Judy) Niquette of Sturgeon Bay and two great grandchildren, Scott and Kristin Keil. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at St. John United Church of Christ after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, who is in charge of funeral arrangements.
