Rural Mishicot Man 4th County Fatality

MANITOWOC-Lee C. Kronforst, 20, of Rt. 1 Mishicot, County's fourth traffic fatality of the year.
Kronforst, a Vietnam veteran, died at Holy Family Hospital at 3:10 p.m. Saturday from injuries suffered when the car he was driving plunged off Highway 151 about two miles west of Manitowoc at 5:45 a.m.
Dr. R.G. Strong, acting county coroner, said death was due to a lacerated liver and subsequent hemmorage.
Run Off Road
The rural Mishicot youth was driving west when his car verred to the left side of the highway and went off the road between the wall of the culvert and the utility pole. It then hurled Silver Creek before coming to rest.
A passing motorist discovered the accident. He went to a nearby residence where the County Traffic Dept. was notified.
Kronforst suffered internal injuries , head cuts and bruises. He was removed to Holy Famiy Hospital by Manitowoc Ambulance Service.
Born in 1950
He was born March 3, 1950, at Two Rivers, a son of the late Paul and Mrs. Dorothy Reindl Kronforst. He attended Holy Cross parochial school and was graduated from Mishicot Community High School with the class of 1968. He entered the Army after graduation and was with the 101st Airborne Division, serving in Vietnam. He was discharged from service in April, having been awarded the Bronze STar and Army Commendation medals. He was a member of the Mishicot VFW post. Military funeral services will be conducted Tuesday.

Kronforst Military funeral services for Lee Kronforst, 20, of Rt. 1 Mishicot, who di ed of injuries at Holy Family Hosptial, Manitowoc, Saturday afternoon, w as a result of a traffic accident earlier in the day, will be at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cro ss Catholic church, the Rev. Anthony Betley officiating. Burial wi ll be in the parish cemetery. The Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post 7753, Vet erans of Foreign Wars will conduct the services.
He was born March 3, 1950, at Two Rivers, a son of the late Paul and Mr s. Dorothy Reindl Kronforst.
Besides his mother, he leaves three brothers, Paul of Soldotna, Alaska, a nd Gale and Michael at home; and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Rose Kronf orst, of Mishicot.
Friends may call at the funeral home where memorial services wi ll be at 8 o.clcok this Monday evening.
