  HERALD TIMES REPORTER MANITOWOC, WISCONSIN MONDAY 23 JANUARY 1978 LaVIOLETTE Carl J. LaViolette, 60, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Rockwood Evangelical Luthe ran Church, Rockwood. The Rev. Herbert Kesting will officiate and burial w ill be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. Mr. LaViolette was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Town of Gardner, Door County, s on of the late Joshua and Augusta Brau(sic) LaViolete. He married Elaine C haloupka June 24, 1944, in Melnik Presbyterian Church. Mr. LaViolette h ad been employed with Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. for 37 years, retiri ng in July 1977. He was a member of Rockwood Evangelical Lutheran Church a nd Boilermakers Union Local 2143. Survivors include his wife, five sons, Lawrence of Manitowoc and Kennet h, Keith, David and Gary at home; two daughters, Mrs. Erwin (Carol) Bra tz and Mrs. Ricky (Debra) Kattreh of Manitowoc; a brother, Delbert of Mani towoc; two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Myrtle) Hansen of Oshkosh and Mrs. Elt on (Lorraine) Ahlswede of Brussels and five grandchildren. Two brothers pr eceded him in death. Friends may call in Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 3 p.m. Tuesday a nd in the church from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Memoria ls may be made to Manitowoc Lutheran High School or Rockwood Evangelical L utheran Church.
