Menges, Carol M.
Carol M. Menges, age 79, of Larrabee, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc. Carol was born September 1, 1936 in Green Bay to the late George and Alice Pawlavich Lambert and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of the Mishicot High School. Carol married Paul W. Menges on November 30, 1952 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Gibson. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibson where she sang in the church choir. Carol enjoyed bowling and bowled in the same league for 25 years. She also enjoyed gardening and canning, and loved following her children and grandchildren's events.
Survivors include her husband: Paul, two daughters: Vicki Vogt, of Denmark, Connie Menges, of Larrabee, three sons and daughters-in-law: Paul "Butch" and Mary Menges, of Manitowoc, Jeff and Renee Menges, of Manitowoc, Keith and Tami Menges, of Brillion, 15 grandchildren: Andrew (Kristina) Vogt, Jonathan Vogt, Katie (Ben) Raddatz, Trina Menges, Rachael (Adam) Crawford, Andrea Menges, Michael (Stephanie) Menges, Jordan Menges, Mac Kayla Menges, Allison Menges, Ethan Menges, Seth Menges, Lauren Menges, Kyle Menges, Brady Menges, 8 great-grandchildren: Elissa, Caleb, Ellyanna, Titus, Madelyn, Camryn, Emersyn, and Carter. She is further survived by one sister: Dolores (Frank) Benthien of Mishicot, one brother: George (Dorothy) Lambert, of Oshkosh, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son: Todd Menges, and by her son-in-law: Jeffrey Vogt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibson, with Reverend James J. Heffner officiating, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Visitation will continue after 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Menges family would like to express a very special thank you to Dr. Robert Gahl and his nurses Jean and Sarah for the excellent care extended to Carol during her illness.
