Pelkey
Andrew H. (Peltier) Pelkey, 88 of 847 N. Sixth St., Manitowoc died Saturday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Pelkey was born May 1, 1870 in the Town of Mishicot, son of the late George and Harriet Ruelle Peltier. He married Mary Jindra at Mishicot Feb. 17, 1896, and the couple farmed in the Mishicot area. They came to Manitowoc in 1906 where Mr. Pelkey was employed by Manitowoc Northern Traction Co. Smalley Manufacturing co. and Worel Hardware. Mrs. Pelkey died April 11, 1958.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church and was the last of 17 Peltier children.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hayden and Miss Irene Peltier of Manitowoc, a son, Earl of Manitowoc; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Monday where the Holy Name Society will recite the Rosary at 7 p.m.

J. Charles Hayden. 75, of 730 N Sixth St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning at his home. Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Saturday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Hayden was born March 19, 1900 at Cato, son of the late John and Ellen Fenlon Hayden. Mr. Hayden moved to Manitowoc in 1926. He married the former Evelyn A. Peltier on July 3. 1937, in Manitowoc. Prior to his retirement in 1965, Mr. Hayden was employed for 36 years at Wisconsin Public Service Corp. Survivors include his wife, a son, John, of Paris France, two daughters. Mrs. Donald (Nancy) Field of Bellevue, Wash., and Mrs. Edward (Marjorie) Fitzhugh of Madison, Wis., three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Roland of Reedsville, Mrs. Henrietta Henning of Milwaukee Wis. and Miss Blanche Hayden of Cudahy and seven grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. There is no visitation. Pfeffer Funeral Home of Manitowoc is in charge of funeral arrangements.
