Sixth St., Manitowoc died Saturday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Pelkey was born May 1, 1870 in the Town of Mishicot, son of the late George and Harriet Ruelle Peltier. He married Mary Jindra at Mishicot Feb. 17, 1896, and the couple farmed in the Mishicot area. They came to Manitowoc in 1906 where Mr. Pelkey was employed by Manitowoc Northern Traction Co. Smalley Manufacturing co. and Worel Hardware. Mrs. Pelkey died April 11, 1958. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church and was the last of 17 Peltier children. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hayden and Miss Irene Peltier of Manitowoc, a son, Earl of Manitowoc; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
