3 Yr Old Hurt from Accident near Algoma
In an accident three miles west of Algoma Tuesday night, Shirley Jindra, 3, of Two Rivers suffered cuts about the head and face, in which Mrs. Joseph Jindra, Maplewood, the child's grandmother, was seriously injured.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jindra of Maplewood, accompanied by their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jindra, Jr., Two Rivers, and her daughter Shirley, were driving south on County Trunk C on their way to Alaska.
Another car driven by William Hettiger, Algoma who, with his son, Sylvester was returning from a day's work at Dyckesville, approached from the west or County Trunk S and as it crossed the intersection was struck by the Jindra machine.
Occupants of the Hetttger car escaped injury, as did Mrs. Jindra of Two Rivers. The others were brought to the hospital at Algoma.
Both cars were badly damaged, the Jindra machine being beyond repair.

Mrs. Jindra Is Fatally Hurt in Car Crash
Two Others Hurt Tuesday at "S" and "D: Interesection
The second fatal accident in recent years at the intersection of County Highways "S" and "D" about three miles west of Algoma occurred Tuesday evening at 6:15 when cars driven by William Hettiger, Algoma, and Joseph Jindra, Sr. Maplewood, crashed.
Mrs. Joseph Jindra, Sr. sustained fatal injuries, and died Wednesday afternoon at the Algoma Hospital.
Mr. Jindra who was driving the car, received severe bruises, but was able to leave the hospital after first aid.
Shirley Jindra, 3, sustained severe face and head lacerations, she left the hospital, Wednesday.
the Jindra car was proceeding south on D and the Hettiger car was coming toward Algoma on S. With Mr. Hettiger was his son, Sylvester, who had been working at Dyckesville and were returning to Algoma after a day's work. The Jindra car was on its way to Two Rivers. Mrs. Joseph Jindra, Jr., another passenger, escaped without serious injury. Neither of the Hettigers were seriously hurt, although Mr. Hettiger sustained a number of cuts.
The Jindra car capsized after the crash and Mrs. Jindra, Sr., was pinned beneath the heavy machine and it was some time before she could be removed. The hettiger car remained upright.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jindra will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Mary's Catholic Church, Maplewood, and interment will be made at the parish cemembery. The Rev. F.C. Heiman will officiate.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Feller, Maplewood, and three sons, Harry, Sawyer, and Clarence and Vincent, Two Rivers.
