  Alfred E. Jonas Alfred E. Jonas, age 84, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, former ly of 3204 School St. in Two Rivers, went home with our Lord early Saturda y, June 26, 2004 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at S t. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, with burial to follow in Knollw ood Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Alfred was born Sept. 27, 1919 in the town of Two Creeks, a son of the la te Emil and Martha (Schmidt) Jonas, and attended the Twin Elder Schoo l. He was confirmed on Aug. 21, 1932 at St. John's Lutheran Church in T wo Creeks. Alfred worked on the family farm in Two Creeks until movi ng to Two Rivers in 1945, and began working for Hamilton Industries. He w as employed with Hamilton's for nearly 40 years, retiring on Sept. 1, 198 1. Mr. Jonas married Edith Anklam on May 2, 1964 at St. John's Lutheran Ch urch, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death November 28, 1997. Alfred w as a longtime, faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and former c hoir member; he was also a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center. He enjo yed time spent with family, the deer hunting camp, and also enjoyed playi ng cards, dartball, and bowling. He is survived by a daughter-in-law: Marilyn Anklam, Manitowoc; four grand children: Julie (Theran) Welsh, Madison, Jean (Dan) Slaby, Manitowoc, Carr ie (Steven) Grumann, Sheboygan, and Christian (Michelle) Anklam, Two River s; six great grandchildren: Amber, Jennifer, Jackson, Taylor, Emma and Pet er. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Viola Pahnke, Pine Grove, a nd a very special friend, Grace Boness, Two Rivers; many cousins, other re latives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son-in- law, Glen Anklam, and his brother, Arnold Jonas. Relatives and friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two River s, after 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning until the time of service at 10:30 a. m. There will be no Monday evening visitation. Memorials may be made to St. John's Church or School, or Manitowoc Luther an High School.
