Q, Manitowoc, died Friday, June 1, 2001, at North Ridge Medical and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2001, at Rockwood Lutheran Church, Rockwood. The Rev. John R. Hildebrandt will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, townsh ip of Kossuth. Leona was born April 18, 1918, at Mishicot, daughter of the late Hugo and Ida Wenholz Ploeckelmann. Leona grew up in Mishicot attending local schools, graduating from Mishicot High School and also Milwaukee School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She worked at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, and for a number of years as director of nursing at Family Heritage Nursing Home, Manitowoc. Leona married Paul C. Kappelman, Sept. 2, 1946, at St. Peter's Evangelic al Lutheran Church, Mishicot. From the Manitowoc Herald Times Saturday, June 2, 2001 Mrs. Leona H. Kappelman Mrs. Leona H. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funer al Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 3 and 9 a.m. on Mond ay until the time of services at Rockwood Lutheran Church.
