Charles Meinecke(sic) passed away at Holy Family Hospital Monday morning. The misfortune experienced last week in falling from his wagon while driving to the Rangeline Cheese Factory resulted in internal injuries which caused his death. Deceased was born in 1861 in the Town of Two Rivers where he has always resided. He was held in high regard by the community as a possessor of fine qualities of manhood and good citizenship. He was a member of the town board of education and has for the past 30 years been agent for the Mishicot Fire Insurance Co. He was a trustee of St. John's Lutheran Church. The funeral was today from the home with services at St. John's Lutheran Church. Deceased leaves a widow, six sons, Erwin, Raymond, Herbert, William, Harold and Erhart and three daughters, Mrs. Alvin E. Jindra, Mrs. Wm Menges and Miss Esther. Also two sisters, Mrs. William Schaefer of Two Rivers and Mrs. John Wetencamp of California.

Thanksgiving Bride is Feted at Shower
A lovely post-nuptial shower complimenting a recent bride was given by Mrs. Minnie Meineke, 2309 Washington street on Monday evening. The guest of honor was Mrs. Erhardt Meineke, the former Viola Hels of Chicago who on Thanksgiving Day was married to Erhardt Meineke.
For the evening's entertainment cards were played. Honors in the games were held by Mrs. William Schmidt, Mrs. William Stueck, Mrs. C. Wilsmann, and Miss Hattie Kadow.
Guests at the shower included Mrs. William Schmidt, Mrs. Henry Schmidt, Mrs. Louis Schmidt, Mrs. Louis Shambeau, Mrs. Otto Ulrich, Mrs. John Weiss, Mrs. Henry Greenwood, Mrs. Carl Griep, Mrs. Erna Griep, Mrs. C. C, Wilsmann, Mrs. Arthur Luebke, Mrs. Edgar Stegeman, Mrs. William Stueck, Mrs. Nora Menges, Mrs. Alvin Jindra, Mrs. Roy Meineke, Mrs. William Meineke, Mrs. Harold Meineke, Miss Hattie Kadow, Miss Mildred Menges, and Miss Ethel Jindra.
Mrs. Erhardt Meineke was presented with many beautiful gifts.

Beth, Joyce E.
Joyce E. Beth, age 77, lifetime resident of Two Rivers, died peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 with her family at her side.
Joyce was born in Two Rivers on March 25, 1940 to the late Erhardt and Viola (Hels) Meineke. She graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1958 and earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh in 1962. She worked as a second grade teacher in the West Allis School District from 1962-1963, and taught first grade at J.F. Magee School in Two Rivers from 1963 until her retirement in 2002. Joyce also worked with the Guided Reading Program for many years after her retirement at Magee Elementary School. On June 27, 1964, she married James E. Beth at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers, with the Rev. George Beth presiding. The couple enjoyed many years of traveling together, and vacations to Florida in winter time.
Joyce also enjoyed gardening and cultural events. She was very active at the Lester Public Library, serving on the board of directors in 2001; she served as Senior Volunteer Coordinator; Arbor Day chairman at J.F. Magee School; served on the Board of the Salvation Army in 2003; and served as a member of the Two Rivers Educational Horizons Foundation. She was a member of the AAUW (served as secretary, fund raiser chair, and named honoree in 1999); she was a longtime member of the Cool City Garden Club (serving as president from 1988-2000); Order of Eastern Star (past secretary); Garden Club Federation (district director 1993-95, 1999-2001, and 2003-2007); Sheboygan district 110% award 1998; and Delta Kappa Gamma (membership chairman). From 1970-1987 Joyce remained very active at Calvary Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, serving as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Superintendent. She also served on the Board of Education.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; one daughter & son-in-law, Christine and Brian Olson of Valders, and their son, Aric; sister & brother-in-law, Marilyn and Florian Rohr of rural Two Rivers, and their family: David (Pat) Rohr, Debra (Randy) Mueller, Dennis (Jan) Rohr, Barbara Rohr and her son, Bradley, and Dean (Sandra) Rohr; sister & brother-in-law, Beverly (Ken) Etzelmueller of Germantown, and their family: Steven (Kristin) Etzelmueller & family; Kristen Etzelmueller; and one sister-in-law, Joni (Beth) Rayome of Two Rivers; along with many great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Danielle (Beth) Olson.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1921 Adams Street, Two Rivers on Tuesday (TODAY) from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m., and Wednesday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1921 Adams Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Vicki Fink will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
