- RICHARD F. PLOECKELMAN
Funeral services for Richard F. Ploeckelman, 73, of Birmingham
(Cullman County, Alabama) will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at
Christ the King Abbey, Father Abbott Leonard Giardina officiating, with
burial in Forest View Cemetery in Two Rivers, Wisc. Cullman Heritage Funer al
Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ploeckelman died Monday, July 28 at Lakeview Nursing Home. He was
born Aug. 17, 1929 in Mischot, Wisc. to Alvin and Loretta Ruthmansdorfer
Ploeckelman.
He attended schools in Two Rivers, Wisc. and worked at Harlow City Superma rket.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army on March 13, 1951. He went to Ft. Sherid an, Ill.
and attended basic training at Camp McCoy, Wisc. He served in Germany as
occupation Troop Anti-Aircraft Artillery, Battery "A" 5 AAA AWEN until Fe b. 1953.
After discharge, he worked again for Harlow City Supermarket, then work ed as a
tool and dye maker at Mirro Alum. Plant I in Two Rivers. He also worked
part-time at Bunyan Mink Ranch in Mischot. He married Jo-Ann Kock in Ju ne 1956.
She preceded him in death April 19, 1991. He married Marian Birringer Sato ri on
Dec. 16, 1978. They moved to Dallas, Texas in 1979 and he worked as a mach inest
for Cain Machine Co. In 1985, they moved to Birmingham where he work ed as a
machinist for 16 years.
Mr. Ploeckelman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jo-Ann Ko ck
Ploeckelman; a son, Paul Ploeckelman; and two brothers, Gerald and Lavern
Ploeckelman.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters, a stepdaughter,
four brothers, and a sister.
