EUGENE PELTIER
Eugene Peltier, age 73, of 1512 S. 37th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday, July 29, 1997, at his residence.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, 1997, at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Meyer. Inurnment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born August 27, 1923, in Manitowoc, son of the late Earl and Helen Gretz Peltier. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the Class of 1942 from Lincoln High School. Mr. Peltier served in the United States Navy dring World War II.
He married Joan Smith on April 29, 1944, in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1995. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law, David and Gloria Peltier, Superior, Wis., Richard Peltier, Manitowoc, Gerald and Karen Peltier, Manitowoc, Donald and Lynn Peltier, Manitowoc, Kevin and Tina Peltier, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ralph Gastelum, Chandler, Ariz., Bonnie and Robert Ashburn, Port Edwards, Wis.; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Delores Peltier, Bristol, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Peterson, Manitowoc, Helen Morz, Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday.
The Jens Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Ralph M. Snyder, 75, of 807 S. 18th St.. Manitowoc died Friday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The REv. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate with burial in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mrs. Snyder, nee Helen M. Gretz, was born June 16, 1901, at Cooperstown, daughter of the ate Ignatz and mary Levandowski Gretz. She was married to Earl Peltier in 19822. He preceded her in death in 1972. She was married to Ralph M. Snyder Aug. 4, 1948, at Waukegan, Ill. She was a lifelong Manitowoc county resident and prior to her retirement was employed at Globe Laundry for many years.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Eugene Peltier and Donald G. Peltier, of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Sieracki, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Robert Christenson, of Denmark, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday.
