  	Joseph W. Kohlbeck A lifetime resident of the Marshfield area, Joseph W. Kohlbeck, 86, of 505 N. Central Ave., died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grassl, in Marshfield. He had been in ill health for the past two years. Rites will be conducted at St. John's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Officiating will be the Rev. joseph Martinson, associate pastor, and burial will be made in St. Michael's cemetery, Hewitt. Friends may call beginning 2 p.m. Friday and until time of services Satruday at the Rembs Chapel, where a St. John's parish vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Kohlbeck was born in Hewitt on March 16, 1888, and attended St. Michael's Parochial School there. Prior to his marriage to the former Anna T. Grall on April 18, 1917, in Whitelaw, he worked as a mason and also in logging camps. His wife preceded him in death Dec. 9, 1970. THe couple had observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1967. After his marriage he engaged in farming on route 5, Marshfield; four daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Helen) Strupp and Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Grassl, both of Marshfield, Mrs. Joseph (Martha) Steckler, Milladore, and Mrs. Alfred (Marie) Wenzel, route 2, Stratford; a brother Phillip, California; two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Schmidt and MRs. Pauline Lutz, both of Marshfield; 28 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were two sisters and six brothers.
