  	EDMUND GRALL Edmund C. Grall, 70, of 711 S. 24th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Friday, September 4, at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Philip Hoffmann and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Grall was born Nov. 22, 1910, at Whitelaw, son of the late John and Louise Kuehol Graff. He was educated at St. Michael Parochial School, Whitelaw. He lived at Whitelaw until 1931, when he moved to Milwaukee. In 1938?, he returned to Whitelaw where he resided until 1942, when he entered military service. He served in the United States Army from November, 1942, to November, 1945. He served two years in Europe and was involved in action in Normandy and Central European Theater of Operations and received the Purple Heart award. After retiring from military service in 1945, he resided at Manitowoc. Feb. 23, 1943, he married Carolyn Andres at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Grall worked at Whitehouse Milk Company 24 years, retiring in 1969. He then worked part time as a guard for Mirro Corporation from 1969 to 1978. His wife preceded him in death Nov. 22, 1960. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Mayme and Edgar Pfeffer of Manitowoc; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Olive Grall and Lawrence Grall of Manitowoc and Mrs. Irene Grall of Francis Creek; a halfsister, Mrs. Anthony (Germaine) Tuschl of Whitelaw; three stepbrothers, Martin and Gerhard Sickinger of Manitowoc and Ralph Sickinger of Milwaukee; four stepsisters, Sister Bertilla of Milwaukee, Mrs. Walter (Barbara) Herman and Mrs. Lucille Fanslau of Manitowoc and Mrs. Lester (Beatrice) Kiel of Whitelaw, nieces, nephews, and a friend, Mildred Weyenberg. A brother, Frank, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Grall, two stepbrothers, Erwin and Florian Sickinger and a stepsister, Sarah Helgeson, preceded him in death. Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Tuesday afternoon. A parish prayer service will be at 8 o'clock led by Deacon William Klein.
