  	Mrs. Mary Stelzer, Franklin Town, Dies (Special to Press-Gazette) Reedsville, Wis. - Mrs. Mary Stelzer, grandmother of Mrs. J. C. Scharbach of Reedsville, died at the home of her son George, in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc county, one mile west of Taus, on Wednesday night as the result of infirmities due to old age. Mrs. Stelzer was born Dec. 1, 1947 in the provance of Bohemia, Austria-Hungary. She came to this country at the age of 22 years. Immediate survivors are six sons, John, George, Joseph and Henry of Taus, Louis of Manitowoc, and Matthew of Wayside; 17 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren(sic). The husband, Wendelin Stelzer, preseded (sic) her in death 17 years ago. The funeral was held from St. Patric Catholic Church in Maple Grove this morning. The Rev. Ahearn officiating. Paper information not identified possibly the Green Bay Press Gazette.

He made his way to Manitowoc, Wisconsin and bought a farm in Taus. Taus is named after Bohmerwald town of the same name (= Domazlice) and Kellnersville according to information from Manitowoc County . My other ggrandfather Wenzel Speta also lived in Manitowoc. He came from Bohemia/Austria in mar of 1890. Does any one know which country this town would have been in during 1865 and how I could contact genealogy information from there?
