Florence H. Vlasak, age 83, formerly of 17814 Cty. Hwy. B, Mishicot, and currently a resident of the Wisteria Haus, of Two Rivers, entered into eternal life on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at he Wisteria Haus. Florence was born on April 21, 1929 in Kewaunee to the late Florian and Clara Shapek Rohr and has been a lifelong area resident. She married Wencil "Vince" February 12, 1946 in Kewaunee and he preceded her in death November 29, 2011. She was formerly employed by Kolarik's General Store in Tish Mills and also worked for Greiling's and at the L&L One Stop.
Florence enjoyed bowling and traveling, listening to "old" country music, helping Vince in the work shed, and watching the birds and wildlife. She also enjoyed visiting the casino's on occasion.
Survivors include three daughters: Sandra LaMere of Kiel, and her special friend: Gary Stordahl, Linda and Randy Miske, of Mishicot, Penny and Jeff Birkholz, of Mishicot, one son: John and Judy Vlasak, of Manitowoc, 5 grandchildren: Sean (Margie) Idell,Sally (Kevin) Pence, Kimberly Patek, and her special friend Craig, Michelle Patek and her fiance Joe Neuser, Amy (Jerimiah) Schaefer, 3 great-grandchildren: Corey Idell, Brady Pence, and Olivia Schaefer. She is further survived by four brothers: James (Jean) Rohr, William (Cathy) Rohr, David (Carol), and Michael Rohr, all of Kewaunee, one sister: Joyce Sellers, of So. Carolina, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 am on Thursday, January 10,2013, at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, in Tish Mills with the Reverend Dennis Drury officiating, and assisted by Deacon Robert Pribek. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called after 9 am on Thursday at the church, until the time of service at 11 am. There was no Wednesday evening visitation. The Vlasak family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of the Wisteria Haus, of Two Rivers for their special love, and care shown to Florence and our family during her residency there. Your kindness will always be remembered. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
