    Mrs. Marie Chaloupka, an old settler of this county, died suddenly last Tuesday evening at the home of her son Joe Chaloupka. Her death was due to the infirmities incident of old age.

    She is survived by two daughters and three sons. The funeral was held Friday at ten o'clock from the Catholic church at Mishicot, REv. Belle performing the last sad rites.

    Mrs. Mary Chalopka, aged 57, died at the home of her Son, Jos. Chaloupka, after an illness of a few weeks, She was born in Austria in 1828. She had been very hardy up to a few weeks ago when she took sick. She is survived by five children, Joseph, Thomas, Anton, Mrs. Kronforst and mrs. Bouda.

    In the 1900 Census we find Katie(sic) living with her husband Andrew. She is listed as being born Oct 1855, is 44 years old and has been married 21 years. She has had 5 children, 5 remain living. She came to this country in 1872, Number of years in the country 28.

    In 1910 Katherine is living in the town of Gibson with her son Frank. Also living with them is her daughter Lillie.

    In 1920 Census we find Katherine(sic) living in the Town of Gibson, Family 45 Dwelling 47, with her son Frank, next to her brother Anton Chaloupka. She is a 64 year old farmer, and is widowed. She came to this country in 1872, is an alien. She can read, but cannot write.

    Notes From Fischerville:
    Mrs. Katheryn Bouda(sic), widow of the late Andrew Bouda, died at her home here last Wednesday morning, at the age of 66 years, after a lingering illness. Her death was due to heart trouble and other complications. She was married here and her husband preceded her in death some fifteen years ago. Mrs. Bouda was a kind and beloved mother, and was highly respected by all who knew her. She is survived by two sons, John of this locality and Frank on the home farm, and also three daughters are left to mourn her death. They are, Mrs. Chas. Ramash and Mrs. Peter Vitek of Cooperstown, and Mrs. Cadek of Manitowoc. The funeral services were held Friday at 10 o'clock from the Catholic church at Mishicot with interment in the adjoining cemetery.Rev. Belle performed the last rites, and certainly her many acquaintances will deplore her death and will extend their heartfelt sympathy to that circle so painfully bereaved.

    T. Chaloupka Dies at Farm Home in Gibson

    Pioneer of county who Lived in Gibson 65 Years Dies

    Thomas Chaloupka, 78, a pioneer resident of Manitowoc county, who lived in the vicinity of the town of Gibson for 65 years, died in the township of Gibson yesterday. Death was due to complications attendant upon advancing age.

    Born in Bohemia on December 15, 1859, Chaloupka came to this country and directly to Wisconsin when 13 years of age. For many years he engaged in farming, retiring several years ago to come to the residence where he resided until his death.

    A first wife whom he married over 50 years ago, died a number of years ago and in 1898 he married Anna Shedivy who with four children: Mrs Willard Mott, Mrs. Sam Mott, Gibson, Edwin on the home farm, and Adolph of Larrabee, a brother Joseph of Mishicot, 28 grandchildren and five great grandchildren survive him.

    The body is at the Specht funeral home at Mishicot and will be removed to the home tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday from the Presbyterian church at Melnik, Rev. Junek officiating.

    Born in Bohemia on December 15, 1859, Mr. Chloupka came to this country and directly to Wisconsin when 13 years of age.     The 14th red fox skin for the year was presented to County Clerk Schroeder by Anton Chaloupka for bounty. The animal was shot at Fisherville last week, and was the first in the county for several months.

    Larrabee Man Hit by Auto Dies of Hurt

    Anton Chaloupka, 62, well known town of Mishicot farmer who was run down by an automobile near his home at Larrabee Monday night, died at the Two Rivers hospital last night. Mr. Chaloupka suffered internal injuries and was badly bruised and it was found that his injuries were far more serious than at first thought.

    Chaloupka was a native of Bohemia and had been a resident of Manitowoc County since 1873 when he came here with his parents. He has never married. Two brothers Thomas and Joseph, residing in Mishicot survive.

    Funeral services will be held at Mishicot Monday at 10 o'clock. An inquest may be held.

    ADOLPH KOHOUT

    Adolph Kohout, 70, retired Gibson farmer, died Sunday morning at the home following a lingering illness. He was born at Kossuth in 1873 and in 1896 married Miss Mary Skarvan.They located on the present farm, now operated by his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Novachek. He retired in 1926. Mrs. Novachek died five years ago. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the Holy Cross congregation, Mishicot. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Novachek of Gibson and Mrs. Robert R. Guse of this city; sister, Mrs. Anton Jorgensen of Sawyer, Wis., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Specht Funeral Home in Mishicot and at 9 o’clock from the Holy Cross Church, the Rev. J. W. Lennehan officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock.

    FORMER GIBSON WOMAN CLAIMED AT HOME HERE
    Mrs. Anna Brouchoud, 66, Dies of Heart Attack; Rites on Friday

    Mrs. Anna Brouchoud, 65(sic), 1925 24th street, died at her home here at 10 o'clock last night, after being stricken with a heart attack. Taken ill about a year ago, Mrs. Brouchoud had recovered and enjoyed recent good health.
    Funeral services will be held from St. Luke's Catholic church Friday morning at nine o'clock with burial in Holy Cross cemetery at Mishicot. The body is at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home and may be viewed there from seven o'clock this evening. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:45 Thursday evening.

    Nee Anna Kronforst, Mrs. Brouchoud was born on her parents' farm home in the town of Gibson, Oct. 9, 1880, the daughter of Wenzel and Mary Chaloupka Kronforst. She attended school in the town and on Feb. 28, 1905 was married to Andrew Brouchoud, also of Gibson, in the Holy Cross Catholic church, Mishicot.
    The couple settled on a farm in the town of Mishicot, where Mr. Brouchoud died in 1938. Mrs. Brouchoud moved to this city in 1942 and has made her home here ever since.
    Mrs. Brouchoud was a member of the Sanctuary society of the Holy Cross Catholic church, Mishicot. Members of the society will recite the rosary at the Holy Cross church Thursday evening at eight o'clock.
    Three Children Survive
    Surviving are one son and two daughters, all of Two Rivers.
    There is one brother, Charles Kronforst of Mishicot, route 1, and three sisters, Mrs. John Nocker, Two Rivers, route 3; Mrs. Mary Shambeau, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Alphonse Rhein, Mishicot, route 1.

    Death Ends a Long Illness for Mrs. F. Dushek

    Mrs. Frank Dushek died after an illness of two months at 6:45 last evening at the home 807 Tenth street. The funeral will be held Monday morning with services at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Rev. W.J. Luby officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen.

    Mrs. Dushek who was Miss Julia Kronforst before her marriage was born at Gibson, Dec. 16, 1886, and would have been thirty-nine at her next birthday. She was married to Mr. Dushek fifteen years ago and the family has been making its home in this city for a number of years. Surviving are the husband and four children, Marvin, Mildred, Francis and Marie, four sisters, Mrs. Edward Shambeau of Two Rivers, Mrs. Andrew Brouchoud and Mrs. Alphonse Rhein of Mishicot and Mrs. John Nocker of Two Rivers and one brother, Charles Kronforst of Mishicot.

    Mrs. Sam Mott, 71, of Rt. 1, Mishicot, Town of Gibson died Thursday aftern oon at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.

    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Melnik Presbyterian Church, t he Rev. Charles Freuden officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memori al Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

    Mrs. Mott, nee Julia Chaloupka, was born Feb. 15, 1899, in the Town of Gib son, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ann Chaloupka. She was married Sep t. 12, 1922 to Sam Mott, after which the couple became engaged in farmi ng in the Town of Gibson. She was a member of the Melnick Presbyterian Ch urch and the Auxiliary of the Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post, Veterans of F oreign Wars of Mishicot.

    Besides her husband she leaves four daughters, Mrs. Otto (Lucille) Robins on of Rt. 2, Kewaunee, Mrs. Chester (Grace) Novak of Rt. 2 Manitowoc, Mr s. Guardy (Jeanette) Rezek of Rt. 2 Two Rivers, and Mrs. Paul (Edith) Ande rson of Two Rivers; two sons, Alvin of Two Rivers, and Robert of Rt. 1 Kew aunee; a brother Adoph Chaloupka and a step-brother, Edwin Chaloupka of R t. 2 Two Rivers; 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A sister a nd three grandsons preceded her in death.

    Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 3 p.m.until no on sunday when the casket will be taken to the church where the body wi ll lie in state until the time of services.

    Sunday night another prominent young lady was called to her final rest from which there is no return. Mrs. Louis Sedlacek peacefully passed away after a few days illness which developed into black smallpox and also some other complications. Dr. Karnopp was the attending physician. But later due to her severe case, Dr. Farrel of Two Rivers and Dr. Gleason of Manitowoc were also called, but all their efforts were in vain.

    She ws a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Chaloupka. She was an aimable young lady and was held in high esteem by all who knew her.

    The deceased was interred at 8 o'clock Monday evening at the Presbyterian cemetery in Mishicot. Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Chaloupka, she is survived by two brothers, Ed and William.
